carnival of carnage

For this project, there was no actual game

implementation. Each group was just required

to conjure in detail and pitch a game concept as

though we had already created said game. Our

concept was a 3D reverse stealth horror

survival game set in a 1920's fictional city.

Where, instead of you playing the hero fighting

baddies to survive, you play a serial

killer which stalks it's prey eating eyeballs to

survive. Each character (including the villain)

was given it's own backstory and chapter. We incorporated this idea as we planned for this game to have an in depth storyline and history to the game, instead of just a walk around and kill people for no reason thing. The main

character backstory allowed for the player to see why he became the way he is and each character associated as

his victim also portrayed a good reason for being targeted by him.

I personally put together this presentation in premiere pro. This allowed me to learn a new application as well as

personally one-on-one with each team member as it was my idea to have each member (myself included) to

present their sections visually as well as aurally. I gave each person free reign of their section of script and once

done, I just fixed up and spelling and/or grammatical errors as necessary.

Our group worked really well for majority of the project's duration as we were always in constant communication with each other mainly over Skype as our preferred choice of contact. Every member contributed equally to the game. Whether it was working on the backstory of the villain or the victims, concept art, modelling art, game mechanic concepts, etc...
